After working for seven years in the biomedical
industry, Dr. Fowler completed four years of dental
school at the Medical College of Virginia. He graduated
magna cum laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree
and was selected as a member of the national dental
honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Fowler then
completed a residency in orthodontics and dentofacial
orthopedics and obtained a
master's of science degree in
dentistry at the Medical College of Virginia. Upon
completion of his residency, Dr. Fowler earned board
certification through the American Board of
Orthodontics.
Dr. Fowler and his wife established Fowler Orthodontics
in 2007 to serve the orthodontic needs in Franklin and
the surrounding communities. In addition to maintaining
his private practice in Franklin, Dr. Fowler serves as
an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at the
Vanderbilt University Medical Center and volunteers for
the Interfaith Dental Clinic in Nashville.
Dr. Fowler's wife, Mary, is the business manager for
Fowler Orthodontics. She is also a graduate of
Vanderbilt University and received her Ph.D. from the
University of Virginia where she worked as a professor
in reading education for nine years. Dr. Fowler and his
wife have two daughters, Claiborne
and Macon.
